Horrible company with Horrible customer service
Kept raising my deductible on my medications at the Walgreens Pharmacy I use. When I called the to find out why they said Walgreens is not a company they do business with I had to use CVS.
This is 4 months into me getting my prescription from Walgreens my question was why was it covered before and not now. Express. Sripts could not explain that other than telling me Express Scripts is not contracted to do business with Walgreens. Express Scripts then talked me into doing business directly with them and getting 90 day refills at 0 deductible, sounded good so I did it.
Much to my regret. My prescriptions did not show on time. I even paid extra to have sent 3 day delivery , when I called I was told they where sent out Thursday and I would recieve them on Monday when they didn't arrive I called and was told no they went out on Monday . I was absolutely lied to.
When I brought up that I had been lied to I was told no I was not lied to, I was just misinformed lol !! When it came time to reorder my 90 day supply which I did as soon as I could according to the date on the bottle that I could reorder to make I received them on time I was shocked to find out all my medications that I received last time at a 0 deductible which my understanding is how my insurance works, they now all had deductibles with one of the medications being Eliquis was now $1478 all my other medications now had deductibles also . Been back and forth with them since . I am now currently on hold with them because I need to order 2 of my lower cost prescriptions and am being told that 1 account has been terminated and 1 account is open don't make any sense .
My insurance is still 100 % intact ! Been in hold now for 59 minutes and 13 seconds and the battle goes on . Beware of this company they truly are a scam and I don't understand how they are getting away with this . If I stole from someone they would prosecute me or any other American in a heart beat and send us to prison .
But company's like this get away with stealing for over 38 years !!! Welcome to modern America !!!

Verified ReviewerResolved: Branded Meds don't apply to the deductible
Full refund for the first refill on both meds, and each refill going forward will be around $170 for one med, and $270 for the other. A big thanks to the ES social media team for reaching out and directing me to the right department at ES to fix this issue.
I don't have a choice per my employer.
I had to pay $3K for one and $4K for the second one for a grand total of $7K.
Then I had to spend two hours on the phone with ES about them applying it to my Deductible which is 3K so from the above one of the meds should be free now with pending refill all free till the Insurance renews.
After being on the phone with the call center in the Philippines which repeats we applied $230 dollars and $438 dollars as some MISC fee to your Deductible as we cannot apply the entire amount as your plan will not cover name brand meds in question, would u like generic?
Finally transferred to a local call center in the US with I totally understand, but the plan is not paying for the meds because there branded and not covered by the plan to add I have the highest plan offered by my employer.
Now I have to Appeal with ES which is a total scam of a company! This company couldn't care less if the issue in question occurs again to the patient because they have tried Generic, and it doesn't work.
All about profits with ES and scamming the customer for $7K with MISC fee's only applied to the Deductible.
- Cost me 7000 and years worth of meds is about 22k
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Not recommended at all if you need branded medication

Verified ReviewerHorrible incompetence and unethical care
My mother takes a medication necessary for preventing strokes and heart attacks. CVS outsourced her Medicare plan to Express Scripts/Wellcare.
Its been a nightmare. First they claimed not to have her prescriptions. Then they delayed sending them. Thirty phone calls and about 6 hours of time with rep after rep and even a supervisor and they did absolutely nothing to help her.
She is in her eighties and frail. They did not work with her caregivers either.
What an unethical corporation. I am appalled by the lack of accountability and care.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Express Scripts blocked my local pharmacy from filling a 30 day prescription
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
Express Scripts did not give any reasoning. My pharmacist says apparently they don't let anybody with them fill that particular prescription which was insulin .
he said it must be an insurance issue there's no reason he shouldn't be able to fill it to further justify getting it from the local pharmacy, first time I ever use a medication I always get it for just 30 days and then if it is fine and fine with doctors advice then I ask for a prescription for 90 days to go to Express Scripts. so I'm sitting here for a few days with high blood sugar and no insulin.
- Lower priice
- Hard to coordinate between local express scripts pharmacy
Preferred solution: explanation
They just can’t get anything right
The company messes up every time we need a refill. They repeatedly lose the automatic billing info, resulting in delays in receiving medication.
Getting authorization for additional meds prior to travel is challenging - we often have to pay full cost and then argue for reimbursement later. On the rare occasion we get to speak with a real human, the person is poorly trained and lacks authority to fix the problem.
And forget being able to talk directly to a manager or pharmacist to resolve anything directly - even if the cheap generic they force you take doesnt work effectively, and your doctor pleads your case, they wont approve the brand name. Id give it a fat ZERO if I could!
- Poor customer service
- Cannot get problems resolved
Preferred solution: Nothing from them - would like our HR department to cancel the contract

Verified ReviewerTakes nine days to ship meds after receiving payment.
- Pricing is competitive for 90 day prescriptions
- Poor service
Preferred solution: DoD contracting needs to improve quality oversight when awarding prescription service contracts.
User's recommendation: Tricare contracts with Express Scripts for online delivery, so if your retired military be prepared for a frustrating experience dealing with this company. Always compare prices on each med with other pharmacies. Walgreens is often cheaper and easier to use depending on the med.
Very poor customer service. Beware
User's recommendation: If you have the time to waste,go ahead and use them
